2 Natural Weight Loss Musts

Diet:
A lot of people who want to lose weight are often attracted to unsafe weight loss pills and fad diets with big promises that soon fizzle out and die. They may end up a few pounds lighter, but was it water loss, fat loss or loss from depression? Most fad diets will have you shedding more water and muscle than fat. To me, this is not a healthy option for safe weight loss, and it is seldom permanent. And with a lot of the fad diets out there, you will probably gain back what you lost in no time at all.
Your goal should not be to have a perfect body, but a nice healthy body that you are happy with and a good BMI that's right for you. Moreover, achieving a healthy body weight requires you to lose only that weight that will get this accomplished. We are not striving for perfection here, nor should we.
Now, to accomplish this, you won't have to starve yourself, go on fad diets or use unsafe weight loss pills. The simple solution is eating healthy balanced foods with the correct level of exercise.
A tip I use for my natural weight loss is to think of it as healthy eating, and not a diet. Lots of people hate the diet word. It even sounds depressing, but healthy eating sounds a lot better, don't you think?
For starters, and for most of us, give up the bad fast food. Pop, burgers and fries. At least that's a starting point. Even if it's diet pop or low-calorie pop you choose, there are still better choices, like ice water or warm water-add a slice of lemon for flavor, or vitamin water. Although, a lot of people disagree with ice water. Low-calorie soft drinks not only taste bad, but being deprived of fructose, they make you crave sugar.
Always opt for whole grain wheat items instead of those made with white flour. Whole grain contains little fat. Just try to cut back where you can and remember that taste won't be sacrificed when substituting whole grain for white flour. This of course will help with weight loss because it's rich in protein and fiber.
Exercises:
Concerning exercises, weight training will accelerate weight loss. Training with weight is great for both men and women. It will provide the same good benefits to both genders. Big muscles aren't required, but they can't be acquired by weight training and exercises only.
Muscular bodies are built using supplements, protein shakes and sometimes steroids, if that is your goal. The benefits are many indeed when you exercise regularly, other than weight loss. You will become more energized by burning up your fat deposits. Add to that a good sleeping pattern and you will become revitalized and ready to take on the day when you wake up from a sound nights sleep.
Exercising, as long as you don't over do it will always benefit you by boosting your immune system, stamina and building strong and lean muscles. Exercising will also give you a nice healthy appearance by improving skin tone and color which most of us are concerned with, especially women.
So, stay healthy and fit my friends and do everything in your power in succeeding with your natural weight loss endeavors.

How to Get Rid of a Belly: 5 Useful Tips

If you are tired of your belly fat and the unpleasant feeling of being just a bit overweight, then it is high time that you did something about it. To help you out, here are five useful tips you can use regarding how to get rid of a belly. The tips won't work if you are not dedicated and motivated enough. The key here is to believe in the tips and the effect they can give. When you decide that they are worth giving a try, you are halfway to getting the flat-bellied look that you want!
So, here are the tips that might help you in finding the answer to how to get rid of a belly:
1. Don't set unrealistic goals.
Yes. Don't be too hard on yourself. You didn't get that way overnight. The excess body fat you have on your belly is the result of many months of pigging out and not controlling your calorie intake. So, why then would you expect to shed those pounds in an instant? What this means is that you have to set a goal, which you can achieve on a daily basis. Whether you can aim for not drinking soda for a day or not eating any of the salty junk food, which you so love, you can be gentle on yourself by aiming for these achievable goals instead of heading straight for losing fats fast.
2. Eat healthy food.
Consider this one too. A lot of us think that it is alright to eat as much as we want of anything we like. Think again! In the rulebook of how to get rid of a belly, the food we eat determines how healthy we are going to be. As such, to stay healthy, we have to eat healthy. It's as simple as that! So, buy fresh fruits and vegetables and cook them with as little fat as possible. Also, refrain from purchasing processed food, as they are full of salts, which only make you retain water weight. Then, stay away from take-outs or fast food for a while. You just have no way of knowing the calories you are consuming.
3. Eat small meals throughout the day.
Eating six small meals a day increases your metabolism. So, instead of eating three square meals, you can have six smaller versions plus healthy snacks. Eating frequently speeds up your metabolism so that you get to burn a lot of calories all day through.
4. Don't starve or deprive yourself of desserts.
This one is very important. In knowing how to get rid of a belly, you must remember that moderation is important. As such, you don't have to give up sweet desserts altogether. What this means is that you can eat some but make sure that the portions are small. Depriving yourself of what you like will only make matters worse. To help you out, you can eat cake tonight, berries tomorrow, fruits the night after that, etc. You know what I mean.
5. Move your body!
The last tip is to move your body every day.Walk to the store. Go bicycling on weekends. Do jumping jacks. Perform squats or lunges. Whatever physical activity you can do will be helpful in answering the all-important question of how to get rid of a belly.

How Many Calories Should I Eat To Lose Weight?

Many people are interested in losing weight and this often results in people asking the question "how many calories should I eat to lose weight?". Ultimately the answer to this question is fewer than you expend. If you are indeed eating more calories than you expend then this creates a calorie deficit which is fundamental to losing weight and given time your body will adjust by losing weight.

Calculating the calories that you expend is a useful exercise when trying to answer this question, as eating any number of calories fewer than this will ultimately lead to weight-loss. Unfortunately this is a fairly difficult thing to do accurately without expensive medical equipment, but you can get a fairly good estimate using a calorie calculator, many of which can be found online. The calculators use your height, weight, age and gender plus an equation (either Harris-Benedict or Milton's) and return an approximation of how many calories you likely burn if you were doing nothing all day, a number called your BMR or "basal metabolic rate". This is then multiplied by a certain factor between 1.2 and 1.9 depending on how much activity you do each day, which then gives your AMR or "active metabolic rate", which is a best guess at how many calories you actually burn each day.
It's worth noting that whilst these calculators are easy to use, they can easily be wrong. Their fundamental problem is that they don't take into account how much lean mass you have, which is much more metabolically active (i.e. burns more calories) versus non-lean mass. Because of this particularly muscular people are likely to have fairly inaccurate results from these sorts of calculators.
Once your active metabolic rate is known, any number less than that is just how many calories you should eat to lose weight. Exactly how many less determines the rate at which you will lose weight. A general rule of thumb says that for every 500 calories under your AMR, each week you will lose 1lb (or 450g), so if you were eating 1000 calories less, you would lose 2lbs per week, and so on.
These methods can be a great tool for helping you set goals for weight-loss and improving your general health and there are many benefits to both. However far too many people see dieting as a short term solution to a long term problem and this really shouldn't be the case. Eating healthily and in moderation is something that everyone should do all of the time, not just when we're worried that we're getting fat. Answering the question "How many calories should I eat to lose weight?" is usually a step in the right direction however.

Lose Weight Not Your Mind

Is there truly a mind state to lose weight? The truth is that there is a state of mind you should be in to see maximum results in. Many factors can make or break a weight loss program. You must realize that you want to change and are willing to accept help and advice. To lose weight and keep it off you must be willing to commit to a total lifestyle change. Once you have chosen your path stay on it and do not stray away.
The most common mistake people make when losing weight is that they give themselves breaks or time off. After a week of dieting and exercising all week giving yourself a day off will just put you right back at the start. It's hard to say no but it is mind over matter. When you fail to lose weight factors like diet, willpower, supplements, and improper exercise are at fault. Giving yourself a day off of a diet or from an exercise puts you in mindset that you can do it later. A place you do not want to be in. So when faced with this opposition choose to go to the gym that day and pass on the cake. You will be happier tomorrow when your jeans fill looser.
Avoid all negativity. This should not come as a surprise but negativity keeps you in a negative state of mind. When you are in a negative mind set you feel as though you can never reach your goals and the way you are now is the way you have to be. Negativity can be something major such as a bad relationship or something minor such as a friend refusing to give you credit for losing that pound. The best thing to do is to talk it over and express your feelings to the person that is causing so much negativity. This is better to lose weight and your overall health. Stress only hurts you so do something about it today rather than tomorrow.
To lose weight you must be ready to commit to a new lifestyle change. Eliminate all negativity and when temptation knocks you must not answer the door. Stop feeling bad for yourself and feeling like you can't do it. You can lose all the weight you want if you are dedicated. Research your diets and exercise routines. Seek advice and counsel when needed. Many websites have support groups and more out there to help support you.

How to Lose Belly Fat in 4 Simple Steps

Embarrassment is not the worst part of having a flabby midsection. That spare tire around you tummy can increase your risk of heart disease, stroke and diabetes (yikes!). Thankfully, you don’t need a complicated diet plan to learn how to lose belly fat. Stomach flab may be stubborn, but it’s no match for proper nutrition, hydration, exercise, and a can-do attitude.

Believe in Yourself

The way you feel about your ability to lose weight will play a major role in your success. If you’re plagued with self-doubt and negativity, you won’t see the point of sticking it out when things get tough. In order to achieve your weight loss goal, you must truly believe you have what it takes.
Losing weight is not just about vanity; it’s also about living healthy and feeling your best everyday. One thing that will help keep you in the right frame of mind is to think of your fat burning journey as a lifestyle change rather than a diet. If you focus on healthy living instead of dieting, you’ll maintain momentum and it will be easier to shut down those negative feelings.

Eat Nutritiously

how to lose belly fatEating a healthy diet will keep your metabolism operating properly so you burn stomach fat more effectively. If your eating plan lacks essential carbohydrates, protein, healthy fat, vitamins and minerals, it’s not nutritious. To ensure you get adequate amounts of all of these nutrients, incorporate a variety of healthy, whole foods like vegetables, fruits, poultry, lean meats, raw nuts, legumes, beans, seeds and whole eggs into your diet.
As for counting calories to lose weight, I don’t do it. Don’t get me wrong, I’m very conscious about what I put into my body. However, I refuse to spend my life keeping tabs on every crumb I swallow. When I get hungry, I’m going to eat—and trust me, I won’t be thinking about calories while I’m doing it.
I’m living proof that if you eat the right foods, and stick to reasonable portion sizes, you can lose belly fat without counting a single calorie.

Drink Plenty of Water

Water is often overlooked in nutrition plans. But this element is crucial for burning fat and maintaining proper health. Water helps metabolize stored fat and rids the body of excess fat and toxins. Water also prevent bloating and constipation, and helps curb your appetite.
Most people underestimate how much water they need, so they don’t stay properly hydrated. For optimum health, drink half of your body weight in ounces of water daily. For example, if you weigh 200 pounds, you should drink at least 100 ounces of water per day.

Get Up and Exercise

When you start your healthy eating plan, you’ll automatically reduce your caloric intake and start to shed some weight. However, unless you add exercise into the mix, your metabolism will eventually slow down and ultimately reduce your ability to burn stomach fat.
There’s no way to target specific areas for fat loss. Crunches, sit-ups and other ab-specific exercises only work to tone the muscles. The only way to get the svelte tummy of your dreams is to burn the fat off. If you don’t, any muscle tone you achieve via abdominal exercises will be buried under the flab.
If you combine 30 to 60 minutes of moderate to intense cardiovascular activity with proper nutrition, the fat around your belly will melt like butter. If you’re out of shape, doing a 30 to 60 minute workout may be too much at first. It’s okay if you start off exercising for 5 or 10 minutes. Simply work your way up as your fitness level improves.
Don’t try to change your lifestyle overnight; Start by making small tweaks. In the beginning, you might try drinking more water, increasing your fresh vegetable intake and exercising three days a week. Once you get used to these adjustments, gradually build on them. Remember, small steps can lead to big results.
Sitting and wishing won’t help you get the trim tummy you’ve always wanted. Let the Diet Solution Program teach you how to lose belly fat and improve your overall health.

What's Normal Weight Loss?

My guess is that your weight gain happened over a number of years, so shedding those extra pounds may take some time. Everyone loses weight at different rates. So how do you know if your weight loss is normal? Did you know that losing weight too fast can actually put your body under stress by not giving your body time to adjust.
We live in a toxic world and are exposed to toxins in the air we breathe, water we drink and the foods we consume. The body stores many of these toxins in our body fat. Assuming you're doing a good cleanse program as part of your regimen, your body should be processing the release of these toxins. If you're not cleansing, the toxins will stay stored in the body, potentially, well, most likely, resulting in a weight yo-yo loss-gain experience.
What is Rapid Weight Loss?
Rapid weight loss is usually associated with starvation diets which are very stressful on the body. The body becomes more stressed the longer you are on the diet. The no-protein diets or diets that focus on specific foods or food groups are particularly tough on the body (think grapefruit diet, banana diet, no carbs diet, etc.). The body requires a combination of specific nutrients for optimum health and most of these diets do not provide the nutrition the body needs to cope with rapid loss of excess weight.
The danger of rapid loss based on the "starvation" principle is that it slows the body's metabolic process. Because the body thinks it's being starved, it begins a hoarding process because it doesn't know when it will get the nutrients it needs. Essentially, the complete opposite result of your weight loss objectives.
The following are some of the risks associated with rapid weight loss.
• Malnutrition, from not eating the vitamins and minerals the body needs
• Decreased immunity (i.e. getting sick more easily)
• Gallstones occur in 12% to 25% of people losing large amounts of weight over several months
• Dehydration from not drinking enough fluids.
• Electrolyte imbalances, which can be life threatening in extreme cases
• Heart Attack (rapid weight loss puts a lot of stress on the heart, particularly where obesity is present)
• Headaches
• Irritability
• Fatigue
• Dizziness
• Constipation
• Menstrual irregularities
• Hair loss
• Muscle loss
What is Healthy Weight Loss?
Healthy weight loss based on good nutrition has numerous benefits. Good nutrition provides the essential nutrients your body needs to be healthy. Once the body has all of these essential nutrients, it can get to work putting the body in balance, releasing toxins and fat, and achieving an optimum weight. Feed the body good nutrition with all the essential nutrients your body needs and your body will strive to achieve a healthy weight.
While it may seem counterintuitive, getting lots of good nutrition into your daily diet (vitamins, minerals, amino acids, fats, carbohydrates, and natural sugars, etc.) results in healthier, long-term weight loss. The body doesn't hoard the nutrition because it knows it can count on a regular daily dose of all of the building blocks it needs. And with all that good nutrition, the body has everything it needs to function at peak health.
What are the benefits of healthy weight loss?
• Increased energy
• Consistent weight loss over time towards optimum weight
• Reduced cravings for unhealthy food
• Build lean muscle and improved muscle tone
• Improved memory and alertness
• Less joint discomfort
• Balanced digestion
• Better Sleep
Given good nutrition your body will naturally rid itself of excess weight at a rate that is normal for you. And keep in mind, even though this articles refers to "weight" loss, a more accurate indicator of healthy living is the "inches" you release in body fat. That ensures you are releasing toxins and fat as opposed to water and lean muscle.
Nutrition based weight loss works from the inside-out so focus on how it feels. If you feel great and you're losing weight and inches, then you're more likely to stay on track.

I Need to Lose Weight and Fast – Should I Join a Gym?

Anytime a person comes to me and says, “Isabel, I need to lose weight and fast. Will joining a gym help me achieve my goals?” I simply tell them that no two people are alike. It’s all about what works for you. There are a lot of good reasons to join a gym, but there are also some drawbacks.

Reasons You May Want to Join a Gym

  • i need to lose weight and fastMotivation. Everyone at the gym is there for one reason—to exercise. Being around people who share the same objective can motivate you to dig your heels in and get your workouts done. If going to the gym will encourage you to exercise regularly, then I say go for it!
  • No Distractions at Home. There is always something to do or someone who needs you at home. These distractions can easily take priority (in your mind) over exercising. When you do most of your workouts at the gym, the dishes, dinner, phone calls, laundry and anything else you “need” to do will just have to wait.

  • Access to Exercise Equipment and Fitness Classes. You don’t need much exercise equipment to get a good workout. However, doing the same old exercise videos and running on the same old treadmill can bore you to pieces. When you opt to workout in a gym, you have access to tons of equipment and a variety of fitness classes, so you rarely get bored.

Reasons You May Not Want to Join a Gym

  • You May Get Stuck in a Contract. Plenty of people join a gym and use their memberships religiously. Others start off with a boom and then fade away. If you are one of the faders and you sign a 12 month contract, you’ll be stuck paying for a year long membership that you never use. Basically, it will be a waste of money.
  • Fees are Continuous. Most contracted gym membership fees are collected via automatic bank draft. If you lose your job or run into financial hardships, there is no way to stop the gym from pulling money out of your account until your contract expires. If your finances are really messed up, the money the gym takes out of your account can cause overdraft charges and other financial hardships.
  • Overcrowding. Gyms are in the business of making money. The more members they have, the more money they make. These facilities can be pretty crowded during peak hours. If you hate crowds or are uncomfortable exercising around others, the gym atmosphere may not be for you.
  • Germy Equipment. Sweaty bodies and dirty hands—it’s no secret that the exercise equipment and locker rooms at gyms are stomping grounds for germs. Anytime you come into contact with germy equipment, you become vulnerable to illnesses and infections. If you are a germaphobe or slack about hand washing, you may be better off exercising at home.

Some Ways to Combat Gym Drawbacks

While it’s not necessary to join a gym to lose weight, some people thrive in this type of setting. If you’re not sure if a gym is right for you, go to a nearby facility and ask for a free trial membership. This will give you a chance to use the facility for a couple of weeks to see if joining is something you really want to do.
If you feel like a gym membership is what you need to get off your hump and exercise, negotiate with the fitness club to save a little cash. Some gyms will waive their registration fees or offer as much as 30 percent off membership prices–all you gotta’ do is ask.
If you detest the idea of being trapped in a contract, ask for a month to month membership. Most gyms don’t advertise the month to month thing because it eats into their profits. With this type of membership, you simply pay as you go. When you get sick of going, you can quit without paying any additional fees.
Your dream of losing weight is only a reach away. Watch this video to find out how the Diet Solution Program has helped me when I need to lose weight and fast.

Foods to Avoid in Your Healthy Meal Plans to Lose Weight

Foods to Avoid in Your Healthy Meal Plans to Lose Weight

People get excited about a lot of things, but I have never in my life met anyone who’s thrilled about being overweight. I have however, met folks who are sick of the up and down rollercoaster of so-called healthy meal plans to lose weight. Rather than deal with more dieting disappointments, some of these people conclude that living “large” is simply in the cards for them.
Throwing your hands up in defeat and deciding to spend the rest of your days (unhappily) overweight is no way to live. A decision like this can beat your self-esteem into the ground and shave years off of your life. C’mon, you owe yourself and your loved ones so much more than this.
There’s no magic formula to losing weight – if there were, everybody and their mama would be slim. The best way to achieve successful weight loss results is to know what types of foods to keep out of your diet.

Just Say “No” to Processed Foods

Processed foods are cheap, convenient and easy to prepare. Unfortunately, these foods are bad for your health. Of course, you’d never know this by watching those hyped up television ads. Since manufacturers aren’t going to give you the dirty on the ingredients they use in processed foods, I’ll gladly do it for them.
Let’s start with trans fat. This ingredient lowers good cholesterol, raises bad cholesterol, and can increase your risk of cardiovascular disease. Considering heart disease is one of the leading killers of men and women, trans fat is one ingredient you want to steer clear of.
If you’re wondering where that double chin came from, the high fructose corn syrup used in some of your favorite processed foods may be partially to blame. This ingredient has been getting a lot of press lately because it is believed to be a major player in the rising obesity epidemic.
Don’t even get me started on the chemicals manufacturers use in processed foods. If I tried to name some of these chemicals, I’d be tongue tied for days. Besides, you’d probably think I was reading the label on a can of bug spray instead of the ingredients in your favorite microwavable meal.

Send Sugar Packing

The average person consumes about 150 pounds of sugar per year. When you think about the fact that sugar is in almost everything, it’s easy to eat tons of this stuff without even realizing it. So what’s the big deal? There isn’t enough time in the day for me to tell you about all the damage sugar can do to your health. However, I can give you a quick rundown.
Sugar contains nothing but empty calories. When you eat this stuff, a large portion of it gets stored in the body as fat. If your goal is to slim down, being heavy-handed with the sugar isn’t going to help. This is not even the worst of it. Sugar can also depress the immune system, feed cancer cells, contribute to heart disease, raise your risk of osteoporosis and make you look decrepit.

Give Artificial Sweeteners the Boot

Before you run out and stock your fridge with a bunch of those zero-calorie diet drinks, there’s something you should know. The artificial sweeteners used in diet drinks and other low-calorie products are lab-created. Yep. You heard me right – mixed up in a lab like something out of aFrankenstein movie.
These chemical sweeteners can cause or contribute to a laundry list of neuropsychiatric disorders and chronic illnesses – depression, anxiety, migraines, mood changes, panic attacks, vertigo, memory loss, Alzheimer’s, brain tumors – should I go on? And if you think you’re going to shed a few pounds using artificial sweeteners, think again. These sweeteners stimulate your appetite and make you eat more food.
When you’ve tried diet after diet and not one of them delivers results, it can certainly make you want to give up. But you owe it to yourself and to your family to live the healthiest life possible. Processed foods, sugar and artificial sweeteners are the main culprits of weight gain. When youeliminate these foods from your diet, you greatly improve your chance of losing weight.
Make dieting disappointment a thing of the past. Let the Diet Solution Program arm you with the tools you need to create effective healthy meal plans to lose weight and live healthier.
